Project Overview:

The project consisted of the supplying and laying of new concrete yard slabs to 5nr industrial units. Firstly we had to prepare the ground by forming  trimming the type 1 subbase, before supplying and installing the steel A393 reinforcement mesh and dowel bars. We then poured a 200mm thick concrete slab using a PAV2 design mix in accordance with the structural engineer’s specification, ensuring all road forms were set-out correctly in line with the designed layout. We completed the concrete with a brushed finish whilst keeping the concrete free from rain by use of the concrete tents in order to maintain a quality end product.
